We had polish hamvention in Burzenin Last weekend. It is probably largest hams meeting in SP with more than 400 participants. During some spare time I’ve decided to visit floral reserve nearby called Winnica. It is very small and charming place near to Warta river and contains floral posts simmilar to those in polish Jura (check out previous activities). It is because jurassic marl rock apears here on the surface and such flora (warm meadows specimens) likes such undersoil.
It is nice, quiet place lost among fields few hundred meters from Warta river who shaped its mild walley. It is almost 4km from Burzenin and I’ve decided to take a little walk with my backpack. It was pure pleasure with great weather this day.
Unfortunately there are no trees in there so i had to use natural slope of this place and some bushes to spread my dipol antenna. By the way – bushes are everywhere there so it is not easy to attache some wires as it stings and tangle wire antennas. This poor antenna location surely affected my signal. I tried to call cq on 10 and 14 MHz but had almost no answers. So it was only 7 MHz activity. Talking about bushes – there’s a lot of blackthorn as well as hawberrys, berberis and privet.
Since i had only an hour and a half of spare time i didn’t log a lot of qso’s but anyway I’m pleased I had visited this place. I’m also pleased to hear same callsigns again as in the previous activities. Sorry for poor pictures – this time i had small camera for documentation purposes only.
And last but not least i’m pleased to be the second one who run HF activity from this SPFF. Thanks for your calls and see you again soon!
